Who is semi-permanent make-up for?

This treatment is fantastic for so many people, busy Mums in a rush every morning, those who no longer want their brows to wipe away every time they complete a workout. Those of us who plucked our brows into oblivion during the 90's. Anyone who may have alopecia. Those whose lips are paling and losing their definition. Semi Permanent Make Up is a fantastic confidence builder and Laura loves to give people their confidence back.

How long does semi-permanent make-up last?

Many factors can implement the longevity of your spmu, such as skin condition type & lifestyle. Laura's clients usually book in for a colour boost ( annual top up ) every 12 to 18 months to keep their brows & lips looking fresh.

does it hurt?

The pain is very low to moderate, topical anesthetic is applied before treatment as well as throughout. You may feel a slight scratching sensation before becoming completely numb.

Can i pay in instalments?

Yes absolutely! A £50 non refundable deposit is required to make your booking and the remainder of the treatment fee can be split between initial treatment & your 6 week perfection treatment.

The process

Consultation

You will be emailed a consultation form at the time of booking. Please complete this and send it back to us.

First thing's first

Firstly we use a Topical Numbing Cream, this sits for 20 minutes whilst we discuss results the client wants to achieve, taking into account skin type and condition. This is a great time to show me any photos.

And then...

Following technological methods we pre-draw a shape individual to the client, to give an idea of shape and size , also we try out shades on the skin. Nothing goes ahead until the client is 100% happy with the shape and shade and it doesn’t matter how long this takes.

Let's begin

The treatment begins, we work from brow to brow , continuously numbing as we go. Only the best products and tools are used to ensure the best results possible.

Finally

We show you your new brows and make sure you love them before putting on a calming sealant to protect them throughout the day.
Aftercare package is given and second appointment is booked if required.

Aftercare

Careful attention needs to be taken when caring for your semi-permanent makeup post procedure, within the next three days your procedure will lightly scab over and then ‘slough’ away, do not pick or pull at the treatment area, and only use aftercare provided.
Do not get the area wet or allow the jets of the shower to hit you directly in the tattooed area for at least 7 days immediately following treatment. It will take 24 hours for the area to create a protective barrier; your final colour result will take 28 days.
A retouch cannot in any circumstances take place until 28 days as scarring any occur.
Your procedure will take three phases, 1) heal 2) peel 3) fade.
We do not recommend that make up is worn post procedure or during the healing process..
If aftercare is not followed procedures will not heal correctly and results will be poor.

Eyebrows: Initial 48 Hours clean every 1 to 2hours with cooled boiled / sterile water and a clean cotton pad.
Then after apply a small amount of aftercare with a cotton bud once / twice a day when needed for up to three days.
If your skin is oily in the t-zone area we recommend that aftercare is not applied.
Ensure no make-ups ,creams, soaps or cleansers touch the area for at least 7 days.
DO NOT PICK PULL OR TOUCH the treated area, swelling may appear in the next 24 hours but will be minimal.

The Red Cross has advised not to give blood for 6 months following a semi-permanent make up procedure.
Do not have any form of laser in the direct area; the pigment will alter due to titanium dioxide in the pigment.
For MRI scans inform the operator of your spmu procedure, you may feel a slight tingling sensation in the area.
Ensure the procedure is healed before considering botox or collagen fillers in the direct area.
If you have any concerns regarding the healing of the area please contact your technician.
If the area becomes infected, please seek advice from your GP, do not pick the area.
